Sunday, October 3rd, 2010Che Guevara Beret Smurf Hat and other Costume Hats
Friday, August 20th, 2010Hats can make the man. Or make the costume in the cases of quite a few. I mean, what would a Che Guevara costume be without the iconic Che beret? I mean you’d just look like a random militia member. You don’t want that do you? Honestly, everyone will be asking you what your costume is of. That is pretty lame. That is the sign of a mediocre costume. For certain costumes your really need the hat more than any other item. Not just for Che either. If you’re think of being Slash from Guns N’ Roses for Halloween your can’t have a good costume without the Slash Costume Top Hat. With that and a long wig, if needed, your Slash costume will basically be complete.
Aside from costumes of actual people there are cartoon characters that need their specific items as well. Smurf costumes not only require blue skin, but your need the classic Smurf white cap. Smurfs costumes are a popular one for Halloween, especially with the resurgence of anything 80s the past couple years. People are reliving their youth by showing off their knowledge of Reagan era pop culture. The eighties wouldn’t have been the same without the Smurfs and their catchy theme song. La La La La La La Sing a Happy Tune! Oh no! It’s stuck in my head…oh man this is going to last forever…oh well at least I love the Smurfs and you should too!

Jesus Costume…Christmas Plays are coming up
Monday, November 16th, 2009For those church and school Christmas plays this Good Shepherd Costume will be an impressive professional touch.
Wikipedia says this about Nativity Plays:
“Many Christian primary schools and Sunday Schools put on a Nativity play. Schoolchildren in costume act as the human and angel characters, and often as the animals and props. The infant Jesus is sometimes represented by a doll, but sometimes played by a real baby. Parents and sometimes the church community in general form the audience.
In the United Kingdom, increasing secularism and sensitivity in multicultural areas to non-Christian pupils has led many schools to end performance of Nativity plays, or significantly alter their content, causing others to complain about excessive political correctness. The Daily Telegraph reported that one in five primary schools was planning a “traditional nativity play” for 2007″

Conversely, Illegal emigration refers to unlawfully leaving a country.”

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009Dress up in this fantastic Beetlejuice Costume.
Beetlejuice is an American-Canadian animated television series loosely based on the film of the same name; it aired from September 9, 1989 to December 6, 1991. The television series was produced by Ellipse (France) and Nelvana (Canada) for The Geffen Film Company. It was distributed by Warner Bros. Television. It starred Stephen Ouimette as Beetlejuice and Alyson Court as Lydia Deetz. The music and score for the series was written by Tom Szczesniak, Ray Parker, Jr., and Danny Elfman.
The film and the children’s series weren’t very similar, with Beetlejuice as the antagonist in the movie and the protagonist in the cartoon series. Both are classics from the 80′s though and Beetlejuice is an excellent choice for this Halloween.

From IMDB:
“Based upon Sir James M. Barrie’s 1904 play about the boy who refuses to grow up, the film begins in the London nursery of Wendy, John, and Michael Darling, where three children are visited by Peter Pan. With the help of his tiny friend, the fairy Tinkerbell, Peter takes the three children on a magical flight to Never Land. This enchanted island is home to Peter, Tink, the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and her Native American nation, and the scheming Captain Hook who is as intent on defeating Peter Pan as he is from escaping the tick-tocking crocodile that once ate a hand of his that Peter Pan cut off–and loved the taste of so much.”
