Magic Escape Tricks
As a budding magician, using magic escape tricks has really helped up my game. I want to specialize in escape magic and I have found these products to be of a quality necessary to give a lasting performance. I especially like the siberian chain escape trick. The chains have a sturdy feel and heavy build, adding to the necessary authenticity I am looking for in my magic performances. I also like the styling of the siberian chain escape cuffs and chain links. They have an edgy and “dark” feel that adds to the mood of my magic performance. The instructions were clear and concise. I was able to figure out and replicate the trick quickly with the instructions given. The handcuffs are also great for the real feel required for escape magic. In the past, I’ve come across hand cuffs that have had a plastic and hollow feel. These handcuffs have the weight and sturdiness that I need to really sell an escape trick to my audiences. It also helps me get into character better with the added resistance. I recently purchased the strait jacket and I love it. The heavy stitching and weathered appearance give off that sinister vibe, rather than looking like a cheap costume gag. I found it easy to use and easy for my magic assistant to lock me into place with. I highly recommend to any budding escape magician to complete the set with the ankle escapes. Again, the look is great and really goes with everything else I purchased. It really completes the escape set.

Costume Feathers
March 13th, 2010Costume feathers have tons of great uses and are perfect indian costumes. Homemade indian costumes almost require it and they are fantastic for school projects. Great for crafts or costumes, feathers are fun and are recognizable immediately for such holiday’s Thanksgiving. A kids indian costume can be made for under a dollar. All that you need is some construction paper and some costume feathers and you’ll be set to have a fantastic homemade native american costume. There are the straight birds feathers and there are big ostrich plums. The regular feathers are good for the indian costumes, but the ostrich feathers are perfect for pirate hats. The extravagant plumes are wonderful for the classic black pirate hat. Disneyland may now only offer the white feathers, but we now allow you to choose from any of the primary color palette.
Feathers may seem like a simple item, but it can add a lot of color and almost can become costumes on their own. Feathers are very inexpensive and fit into any of smallest school art projects. Feathers are often needed for craft projects and schools don’t usually have a ton of money to spend on supplies. Our costume feathers will fit the bill and are of excellent quality. Easter is made that much more fun with a little bit of costume dress up. Bunny ears start at under four dollars a pair. There are also instant bunny costumes for those who want to take the look a step further. Easter is a time of celebration, and any celebration can be made more whimsical with the addition of fun costume accessories. They show planning and a connection with the inner child inside each one of us.
Besides the bunny ears and bunny costume there are some inexpensive costume treats available. For Spring there are bee wings in the traditional black and yellow. March 11th, 2010Parasols re those wonderfully cute fabric umbrellas popular during the Spring and Summer for their shade and their old fashioned look. Great for plays and for dance numbers, parasols are inexpensive and come in a rainbow of colors. People buy parasols all year round for different reasons, but it seems that the Spring and early Summer are the high use times for the parasol. Many school plays have contacted us for use of Costume Parasols and we must agree with them that the hard to find item is perfect for theater productions and fits into any budget. Parasols may seem a thing of the past, but they are perfect for any number of uses.
If you’re a more eccentric type try using them outside to shield your face from the intensity of the sun. They are great for shade. Get one in every color to match your entire wardrobe. It could be your new unique fashion statement. If you prefer a more Asian look there are plenty of Asian theme costume parasols to choose from as well. Made from the traditional paper, they are absolutely perfect for that long stroll on a sunny day.
There is no real excuse for not using a costume parasol. They’re cheap and useful besides being the right choice for your next costumed musical number. You need to be prepared for anything that may come your way. Trust me. I was sunburned just last week when I forgot my red lace costume parasol! So unless you want gross pealing skin, use a parasol folks.

March 10th, 2010When planning a clown costume, you have to stand out from everyone else. The point of the clown is getting attention from others and causing laughter, using whatever means necessary. Clowns are hilarious and every year are some of our best selling costumes. Clowns are creep to some, and this may be an advantage come Halloween. The point is to be scary and dressed as a clown with some costume blood, you’ll be making the neighborhood kids run way crying without any effort at all. Clowns make awesome costumes when worn more innocently as well. The days of the friendly happy clown aren’t dead and may be even a bit retro. Alice in Wonderland Costumes
March 8th, 2010Alice in Wonderland costumes are here and more are coming in everyday. This might just be the popular costume of the season. Alice is a classic character, as are most of the members of the Alice cast. With the new Tim Burton 3d extravaganza out and having a better opening week than the epic Passion of the Christ, Alice in Wonderland costumes are to be the costumes du jour. Always a popular choice in a non-current movie year, the characters of the story will never be forgotten. The Mad Hatter is portrayed by weirdo Johnny Depp this time and is crazier than ever. In line with his Charlie and Chocolate Factory acid trip esthetic, Tim Burton has created a super saturated three dimensional masterpiece that may cause seizures. Costing over 200 million dollars to make the film was given every means available to become an icon of pop culture.
Disney and Burton joined hands once again in the Alice in Wonderland production. Considering they made their 200 million dollars back in the first week, it has proved to be a successful partnership. Alice in Wonderland costumes will be everywhere this year, but only if you get one early. As early as September some of the new costumes arriving in July will already be sold out! Anyway, Alice in Wonderland is a great way to dress up yourself or your child for a costume event or for Halloween. Don’t forget the other characters either! The Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb make great costumes as well.

St. Patty’s Day Costumes
March 5th, 2010St Patrick’s Day isn’t the traditional holiday for dressing up in full costume. I mean everyone wears green, but hardly ever do you see a leprechaun. Don’t be afraid though. Go ahead and dress up in a festive leprechaun costume or even a sexy irish bar maid costume. What could be better? St Patty’s Day is a day to let loose a little bit at the very end of Winter before Spring arrives. Indulge yourself and wear a little more than the speck of green on your vest or the ragged “Kiss me I’m Irish T Shirt.” Heck, sounds fun to me.
So don’t just drink a bunch of green beer this St. Patrick’s Day. Put in the extra effort and Party like a Leprechaun.
Religious Costumes
March 4th, 2010Religious costumes are needed for all sorts of different projects. When you can’t get your priest to let you borrow some priestly garb, take a look at our quality reproductions. That’ll show him! Sorry, father. The clergy collar available is easy to put on and looks darn-diddily good. There are other great religious props, too. The wood monk cross is a popular item and great addition to any friar costume. All religious costume accessories are very inexpensive and will fit into even the tightest budgets.
Easter is often a time when plays require such props as a monk’s cross or a rope belt. The church and school plays that are of the season often need items for their fun theater productions and we are more than happy to help. What is the Spring without at least one Easter play? Not a good spring. I’ll tell you that much. Religious items are often hard to find outside of the few Christian stores in remote, hard to find locations. For your christian religious accessories there is no more inexpensive place. Unless you steal from the Church. That is just wrong. So, don’t steal from your church.
Ah, sidetracked. Religious costume accessories are where it is at, dog. They’re everything you need and more. The more would be the glow in the dark cross. Weird. Maybe good for night vigils? Glow in the dark is pretty frickin’ sweet though. Great for a priest zombie costume on Halloween. Alas, it is Spring…
